the Forum, through a wide variety of projects steered by the Forum sub groups.
The LWBLEF is a company Limited by Guarantee with Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer and five Board members.
The LWBLEF is made up of representatives at CEO level or equivalent from every Work-Based Learning Provider in Lancashire. Forum members meet monthly, usually the first Wednesday of the month following the Board meeting. The Forum also has a number of sub groups to take forward key issues for the forum and help steer and deliver main LSC agenda items.
“Beneast has been a member of the Lancashire Work-Based Learning Forum since its inception and is very supportive of the development of a Lancashire wide network for Work-Based Learning providers.
“The Forum is a useful mechanism of communication, both amongst training providers and as a collaborative voice to the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) and organisations both within and outside the region. Increasingly the Forum is becoming a trusted brand for Apprenticeships in Lancashire, giving schools, parents and young people a single point of contact for information.
“The Forum is helping to drive up quality by enabling all its members to share best practice and benefit from joint projects and group bids for funding. Through working together we can ensure that training provision in Lancashire is amongst the best in the region.”

The North West Provider Network Ltd (NWPN Ltd)
Over the last twelve months a proposed structure for the NWPN Ltd has been developed, pulling together the sub regional and area networks. A Regional Manager has been appointed to move the organisation forward and to develop its operating strategy.
The NWPN Ltd was set up to assist the local networks to raise the standards and professionalism of Work-Based Learning regionally and to show that WBL is key in helping to develop the skills of the NW people. www.nwpn.co.uk
