Who do you work for and what do they do?
Headstart for Blackpool Council, the project aims to raise resilience in 10-16 year olds.

Why did you choose to become an apprentice?
On the job learning and allowing myself to have thee independence.

What does your day in your work life involve?
Emails, Going into school and delivering sessions, running evening groups, planning for trips and delivering various training.

What do you enjoy and what is the best thing about being an apprentice?
Pay day? As well as seeing a young person’s journey, people see case studies and figures but its really nice to be able to watch that young person grow. Especially when your part of the process

What are your career plans and what would you like to be doing in 5 years’ time?
I’d love to be a full time youth worker.

What is your greatest achievement?
I was awarded Young person of the year 2015 in Blackpool

What is the best piece of advice you would give to someone thinking about becoming an apprentice?
Why wait, just do it you’ll enjoy it and will gain valuable qualifications and experience.
