Who do you work for and what do they do?

I work for Lancashire county council. The contact centre has CSAs which deliver customer service in social services (Adults & Children) and general council services such as: Blue badge, Nowcard etc

Why did you choose to become an apprentice?

Earn whilst I learn, Strengthen by CV & Progress within LCC

What does your day in your work life involve?

Recruitment, Training, Quality monitoring, 121 support, Review of training material and many projects. I also on occasion still work as a CSA on the phones/Emails  

What are your career plans and what would you like to be doing in 5 years’ time?

I am currently happy in my career as I enjoy training/Projects but in 5 year’s time I would like to be a management position overlooking social care

What is your greatest achievement? (This does not have to be related to apprenticeships)

My greatest achievement was completing the 1millionstep challenge between July-September 2019 and raising £400

 Give us one fun fact about yourself!

I play video games in my spare time and live stream via Webcam to other gamers to raise money for charity. I can sometimes play a video game for a full 24hr and raise approx. £1000

What is the best piece of advice you would give to someone thinking about becoming an apprentice?

Employers tend to favour candidates with a year or two of experience, as well as qualifications.
